The school uniform is accepted as normal attire for students attending Newtown State School and as listed in the signed enrolment agreement, parents enrol their children at this school on the understanding that the full school uniform will be worn at all times. The wearing of a school uniform encourages a sense of school identity and team spirit and prevents discrimination in respect to the quality or fashion of clothing. Uniforms are generally hard wearing and practical in design, and can last throughout a school year or longer. Uniforms that are worn are expected to be in good condition.
Newtown State School has an onsite uniform shop that is operated by the Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). It is located downstairs on the very eastern end of A Block (the main double storey building).
The Uniform shop has a volunteer co-ordinator and the operation of it is entirely run by volunteers so please let us know if you can help out.
Normal opening times during school terms are Tuesdays 8.30am - 9.30am.
