Staff that are associated with the various Toowoomba churches conduct a non-denominational Religious Instruction program delivered by approved providers. Each class from years 1 – 6 has 30 minutes per week of Religious Instruction. Students participate according to the information provided on the Parent Notice for Religious Instruction on the Enrolment Form, unless the school is advised otherwise in writing. Students not participating in religious instruction undertake other supervised activity.
Other supervised activity may include, but is not limited to, personal research and/or assignments, revision of class work such as writing or literacy and/or numeracy activities which could include online programs currently accessed by the students of that school, and wider reading, such as independent reading appropriate for the student. Other instruction occurs in a separate location to where Religious Instruction is taking place. Students placed into Religious Instruction and other instruction are supervised by qualified staff for the duration of the instruction.
